Case Study

Mobility Bathroom in Small Space

For this project we had two challenges: making the bathroom as accessible and comfortable as possible for a client with specific mobility requirements whilst also maximising the usage of a small space.

Taking a shower should be a relaxing private experience, something that shouldn't be interrupted by the worry of requiring assistance getting in and out of the shower or having an accident whilst showering.

We designed and fitted an open walk-in shower with a convenient shower seat, storage rack and stainless steel shower rail. Before permanently installing anything we placed it loose in the bathroom and allowed the client to try everything first to ensure the placement and level were perfect for them.

The other challenge was maximising the use of a small space. We achieved this by designing a fitted toilet and sink storage unit with raised mirrored cabinet and towel rail. We also completely rehung the door so that it opens away from the shower area.

The bathroom also features a modern design - with feature mosaic tiling requested by the client and a brand new door, handle and lock.
